We survived the holidays!

Well, we made it through our first Christmas as parents. We visited my Mom and her side of the family on Christmas Eve and Turner was showered with really cool gifts. Christmas morning we spent getting ready for our big day, but we did find time to sit with Turner and open his gifts. He was fascinated with the paper and the sound of it as it was torn. We traveled to Clyde and Bellevue to visit with Tanner's family. Turner was passed around alot and he did so well!
The day after Christmas we met with Tanner's dad and fam for dinner. It was our first public outing with the baby and he screamed his head off. I felt really bad for everyone that was trying to have a quiet dinner. I ended up sneaking him to the restroom for a quick meal just to pacify him. By the time I returned to the table my dinner was cold and everyone had their meals practically finished. We learned our lesson and won't be taking him out again until he's on a bottle full time. That night Turner slept 7 1/2 hours in a row. It was so awesome! We moved him into his nursery last Sunday and he is doing so well. He actually sleeps longer and is so happy in the morning. During the day he is still eating every 2 hours but he goes to bed around 8 and isn't up for the day until around 9 a.m. He only gets up twice to eat and goes right back to sleep. We are so lucky.
Unfortunately, I have to go back to work next week. It will be hard to be without Turner and I'm sure I'll be thinking of him constantly. I just hope he adjusts well and isn't too grumpy in the evening. Wish me luck!
