I survived my first 10k!

Race day finally arrived and as I got up at 4:30 a.m. I couldn't help but wonder why I decided to do put myself through the torture! I arrived without any issues and lined up with the rest of the runners at 6:30 thinking "this is pretty cool." It was awesome to see so many people participating and I figured out of 10,000 runners I probably won't be in last place. The run began at 7 and with the huge crowd I finally was able to cross the starting line at 3 minutes later. It was fun running through Akron with people in the community cheering us on. I finished at my projected time and it was over before I knew it. I was so glad I did it and so glad it was over at the same time. I'll definitely participate again next year and hopefully recruit some others. Our team did really well and everyone had a good experience. To my teammates . . . cheers!
