So for the THIRD time, Tanner has broken an ankle. The story is quite funny, but right now he doesn't find it very comical. Give it time, he'll laugh about it.
Tanner thought he had twisted his ankle playing basketball yesterday but added to the injury by falling in the parking lot at work. He went to step up into his truck and his foot slipped causing him to hit the ground, but his foot was still pinned inside the gap between his truck and nerf bars. Ouch! He said he could hear it snap. Ew. He started to get a fever and at that point he decided to head to the ER. I couldn't help but giggle as he's telling me because I'm visualizing the fall and hey, it's funny when people fall down. Especially when it hurts. He said he didn't think anyone saw him fall, but there is always someone around the corner laughing. Always.
The doc at the ER was kind of a dick and told him that if he was able to walk into the ER his ankle wasn't broken. Fast forward. Broken ankle. Doc didn't offer him crutches or anything. Just told him to keep off of it. Really? Thanks A-hole.
Tanner call an Orthopedic doctor today and the earliest he can get an appointment is Friday afternoon. Looks like it's a week at home; coincidentally one of the nicest weeks we've had so far. I'm guessing he'll be off of work for a few weeks. He's really needed a break though. (no pun intended) Work has been uber stressful and he was turning into a downer. Time off will do him good. Maybe I can get some of our paint retouched around the house . . . hmmmm. I feel devilish saying this, but I'm already thinking of things to put on a "light duty" honeydo list.
I know dinner will be waiting for me every night and the house will probably stay picked up. This isn't going to be so bad after all.

Poor Tanner. That sucks that he broke it. But I will admit that having the honey home during the day is extremely nice. I came home to a mowed yard, dinner on the table, and my laundry done yesterday. It's pretty nice! Don't be afraid to leave a list. They like to stay busy, trust me.
