Time Out Tuesday

Taking a quick time out from my jobby job to get all of you up to speed on what's been going on with me the last couple of days.

- Turner behaved exactly the opposite of how I thought he would while Tanner was gone. I was thinking the longer Tanner was away, the more Turner would miss him. Wrong. Thursday evening was filled with tears and tantrums from wanting to go outside, not wanting to eat, not wanting to get a bath only to not want to get out. Friday he woke earlier than usual and kept crying and melting to the floor as I got ready for work. Friday afternoon when I picked Turner up he was a new kid. I took my happy camper to a local ice cream shop where he sucked down a milkshake. He was my buddy that evening and it was nice to have quality time with my son without trying to maintain sanity. Saturday morning he slept in and woke up as Paw-Paw arrived to babysit. Thank goodness Turner was thrilled to see him and out the door I went.

- A on the Final. A in the class. Yay!

- Saturday evening I had a dinner date with Turner and we went to good ol' Bob Evans. The kids menu is wonderful and inexpensive. Plus, all of the old people seem to flock to my son so there was plenty of distraction while we waited for food. Dinner was good, bathtime went well, and he went to sleep without a fuss. Aaahhh.

- Woke up Sunday morning with my hubby beside me once again. A dozen yellow roses waited for me on our dining room table along with a card and a really great shirt. Happy Mother's Day!

- My sis Veronica called and said she was in route to surprise our Mom for Mother's Day. Awesome!

- Veronica arrived. Mom was pleasantly surprised. We cooked out and socialized late into the evening and Veronica has decided to stay for a couple of days. I miss her so much and LOVE having her around so of course this makes me very happy.

- Yesterday my sis Patty gave birth to Brodie Sky Fultz. Brodie is 7 lbs. 2 oz. and she is perfect in every way. I'll post pics as soon as I can!

- Today I'm only working half of the day and meeting my mom and Veronica for lunch and shopping. Looking forward to it for sure.

- Hair appointment this evening. Relief! This mop is long overdue for a trim. Plus, having my hair shampooed by someone else is heaven.

Back to work so I don't walk into chaos tomorrow. Later peeps!
