I have lots to catch you up on so let's get started, shall we?
Peanut butter, chocolate milk, and bowls of cereal have been my primary food source over the past 14 weeks of my pregnancy. I craved peanut butter and glasses of chocolate milk with my first pregnancy too. Strange how certain tastes can be so satisfying.
I've snuck the occasional cup of coffee. I would say I have 8 oz. of caffeine once a week. This is something I NEVER did with my first pregnancy. It isn't that I care less about this pregnancy than the first but I think that I'm not being as paranoid psychotic as I was before. An occasional dose of caffeine isn't going to cause any harm . . .plus, it all goes away once Baby is born because I will hopefully be breastfeeding. (During the time I will need it the most, of course) So, I'm giving myself a pass if I decide to indulge every now and again.
Tanner's bicep repair surgery went well, His recovery has been slower than he and I expected but he's making great progress. He's been very frustrated with only having the use of one arm for the past month, but overall he's pleased that he decided to have the procedure.
Turner . . . where do I begin with this kid?
He's talking ALOT. To us and himself. I've noticed he's been having conversations with himself more and more frequently. It's fun to listen to him imagine out loud. He puts my creativity to shame.
Turner sometimes lies about bruises and scratches, telling us that a cow bit him or he got into a fight. Evidently, falling down just isn't a cool enough explanation. He wants to punch, kick, jump, and overall just be aggressive quite often. Thank goodness he enjoys his T-ball set, his basketball hoop, and his soccer ball. They are perfect sponges for all of his energy.
Bedtime continues to be a nightmare. He NEVER wants to go to bed. He usually falls asleep for the night around 10 p.m. even though we start the bedtime process at 9 p.m. I've lost track of how many times I've had to shove my ass into his toddler bed with him until he falls asleep. I'm not going to be able to fit in there much longer, but he'll be getting a 'big-boy' bed for his birthday in October so atleast it will be a little more Mom-friendly for the nights he doesn't want to go to bed alone.
Happy Friday the 13th everyone!
Since 13 is my favorite number, every Friday the 13th I hit the local gas station on my lunch break and purchase 13 scratch off tickets. I hope it puts some extra cash in my pocket today! Mama needs a belly band!
Enjoy your weekend!
