Turner had his one month check up last week and he is doing great! He weighed 10 lbs 1 oz and is 21 1/2 inches long. He is lifting his head and doing little pushups now. It's so cute! His doc encouraged me to continue breastfeeding until he is 4 months. I wasn't sure at first, but it isn't going to hurt to do it a few weeks longer than originally planned. We are still working on his sleep schedule. We were feeding him and letting him sleep whenever he wanted and it was to the point to where he was staying up 10 - 11 hours at a time. I called the pediatrician and he said he needs to eat no more than every 2 hours and we must lay him down for naps after every feeding. We have to let him cry himself to sleep sometimes and it rips my heart out, but I know it is for his benefit. Actually, I do better with it than Tanner does. He has to leave the room he gets so upset and wants to pick him up. Fortunately, those episodes are very few and far between. He usually goes right to sleep after he eats and he's been sleeping 5 hours a night. Parenting has been alot of work, but being a mom is the best feeling in the world.
