Happy Father's Day Tanner!

This past week went by pretty normal with the exception of the air not being installed . . . noooo! A part didn't come in that they needed so they rescheduled for this Thursday. Hopefully, when I post my blog next week I'll be saying how nice it is to have AC. Saturday morning, our little family went to Millersburg to watch Gradma Dixon and her running buddy Jason run in a 5k. It was a little drizzly but overall fun supporting them. Mom tore her right interior calf muscle the first mile and still finished. She thought she had a charlie horse until she finished and could barely walk. Looks like she'll be putting the jogging on hold for a couple of weeks. Tanner's brother Joe ran in his first triathalon of the season on Saturday. We are so proud of him! Grandpa Steinbauer is training for a triathalon in September. It's so awesome to see our family members living a healthy and active lifestyle. It definitely sets a great example.
Late Saturday morning Tanner's best friend Shawn called and is home from Arizona with his 4-year old daughter Sierra. He was taking his parents out to dinner in Ashland that night and invited us and Tanner's dad to go. He hadn't seen Turner yet and we hadn't seen him in a long time. We all got together and had alot of fun. Shawn's daughter Sierra couldn't get enough of Turner. She played with him the entire time and tried to help feed him. It was so cute! We're planning on going out there to visit next year.
Today was Tanner's first Father's Day and like my Mother's Day I wanted it to be very special. Evidently, Turner did too because he slept in until 8:30. (He's usually up at 6!) I made breakfast for us, then Turner and I gave him his gifts. It was great watching him open his cards with Turner on his lap. The guys spent time together playing indoors and outdoors all day. I was making Tanner's favorite cookies and watched them from the window for a bit. I had to pause and thank God for such a wonderful life. I knew I had a wonderful husband before Turner, but seeing Tanner play and care for our son takes my love to a whole new level. I am so blessed.
