Ink

This is a picture I found on flickr of a tattoo just like mine. It is on the top portion of my spine between the tops of my shoulder blades.

I had it done when I was 19 and since it's on my back it's not like I've applied sunscreen to it or taken very good care of it over the years. Atleast I was smart enough not to have it put in a place that stretches or sags.

It's badly faded and I'm contemplating using Wrecking Balm to remove it or revise it into something else. I think I might like something colorful and pretty, but I want it to have meaning.

Decisions. Decisions.

It's not a bad tattoo! If you hadn't have told me what it stood for, I would have had no idea. I'm with ya...I haven't taken care of mine and they need touched up very badly. And I'd like to get another one, but can't make up my mind of what or where.

I say go somewhere and have someone do something over top of it.

Then again, I have a badly faded tattoo and I just can't bear to have it covered up!

And I would be furious if I saw my tattoo somewhere else!
Are you mad?

From what I've seen, wrecking balm seems to work. Even if you want to get it covered up, I would recommend shelling out the cash to remove it as much as possible. To do a coverup your tattooist will pretty much put something darker over it. The lighter it is, the more options you have. Maybe next time you come down you could toss some ideas up in the air and James could draw something up for you. Not to name drop, but the tattoo artists at "Main Street Tattoos" in Ashland have won awards at numerous conventions. You could talk to them about what they recommend for removal (laser vs. balm) or even see what they could do as far as coverups.... sorry about the novel...

I had no idea you even had a tattoo. Tim wants to get another one when we are in Vegas at the end of the month and thinks I should too!
