My Spirit Week, Let's Hear It!

One of my BFF's has a daughter that is participating in Spirit Week at school this week.

It brought back swarms of fun memories.

If your school wasn't fortunate enough to have Spirit Week here's the skinny. The Homecoming football game is played Friday night followed by the Homecoming dance on Saturday night. The week prior to the game and dance is called 'Spirit Week' and themes are decided for each day of the week.

What if I got the chance to have my very own spirit week? Hmmmm . . .

Monday was 'Jersey Day' - students wear a sports jersey to school.
Jen's 'Jersey Day' - people in the office dress like people that live in Jersey.

Tuesday was 'Twin Day' - students pick a friend and dress alike.
Jen's 'Twin Day' - people in the office dress up a body part that has a twin. The more conservative participants can choose their ears, thumbs, whatevers. Others can use 'Twin Day' as kind of an appreciation day to our double chins, boobs, or testicles.

Wednesday was 'Eighties Day' - students dress in fashion from the 80's.
Jen's 'Eighties Day' - since some people in our offices still dress like they are living in the 80's, I think we should dress like people we know are in their eighties. Don velcro shoes or Hush Puppies, throw on some Depends, and roll around an oxygen tank as an accessory. Gray your hair, add some age spots, and complain all day long about the weather.

Thursday is 'Crazy Day' - students dress in crazy apparel.
Jen's 'Crazy Day' - tell everyone at the office that we are out of coffee and the internet is down. Sit and watch as everyone turns from cranky - to violent - to suicidal.

Friday is 'School Spirit Day' - students dress in their school colors to show school pride.
Jen's 'Work Spirit Day' - people in the office come up with cheers and dances that incorporate your employer. For example:

(to the Journey song, Faithfully)

Monday run,
After our weekend fun,
Jars come and go
down the liiiinne.

Ooohh no, my hairnet blinds me.

I'm forever yours, Grape Jel-ly.

Beat starts to increase . .
(Intro music to Miley Cyrus' Party in the U.S.A.)

So I put my debit in, the journal entry's done
The VP's go away

I'm answering my phone like 'yeah!'
Saving my files like 'yeah!'

Got my numbers up, they're saying I'm done
The emails go away

I'm lovin my job like 'yeah!'
I'm cashing my check like 'yeah!'
It's a party at Smucker's Jel-lay
It's a party at Smucker's Jel-lay

At the end of the day, a pep rally is performed in the auditorium and the winner is determined by a cheer-meter.

What would your spirit week be like?

Im dying. This post was soooo flippin funny. I vote a HUGE yes for the jersey day...I want to tease my hair and wear too much makeup with giant hoop earings! And get away with it...imagine the looks on the drive in. ha!
I rocked at spirit week. It was mandatory that I be an advocate and leader for spirit week..I was a cheerleader! I had to take it a step further than everyone else. I especially love your songs. Nice touch.
