I finally started the second book of the Twilight series New Moon. I'm loving it. I started to read the Twilights series because I gave in to the peer pressure I was getting from family and friends. I have to admit, I can understand the hype. They're good. Really good.
I really take for granted the days I come into work and I am not pulled into a last minute meeting or have to make changes in my daily agenda for a new responsibility that has been handed to me with literally minutes notice.
On Friday, Tanner and I will be in NYC for the weekend. Yeah baby! I can't wait. It will be our first trip together since we've had Turner over two and a half years ago. I'd say it's time. I'm sure I will miss Turner like crazy, but he will be in good hands and we need a break from each other. It's kind of like his little vacation too.
I signed Tanner and I up for a parenting class through Children's Services. Once the receptionist understood that I didn't have a caseworker and I'm not required to attend, she seemed thrilled to put us on the list. There needs to be 20 people signed up before they can schedule a class and we take up numbers 15 and 16. Hopefully, we'll get to go in July. We'll be notified through a mailed letter. I'm pretty excited and hope to get some good tips on coping with the terrible two's. I'll let you know how it goes.
The sun is shining and it isn't extremely hot so I'm really looking forward to taking my book outside during my lunch hour and getting lost in a totally different world. It's so good for me. What are you reading?
